Chicago Fire's Mo Adams has been sent on loan to USL side Memphis FC. The 22 year old English midfielder joined the men in red in 2018, making 17 appearances. This season though, he hasn't gotten any minutes since the season started, and with the recent results for the fire, fans are wanting answers to the midfield problem. After failing to acquire defenders before the 2019 season, the fire recalled Raheem Edwards to replace a suspended Jorge Corrales. The fire were also unable to play Adams due to lack of international spots. Adams will be joining his fire teammate Elliot Collier, who was just recently scored Memphis FC's first goal in club history. Hopefully these international issues can be resolved, and Adams can find the playing time he's looking for.

The club has said that they believe that Gabriel has "high potential". Gabriel played for the US national team's U-14 and U-15. Many fire fans didn't seem to see this happening especially as the fans await Nico Gaitan. If the club develops him correctly, then he could be a prospect keeper. The Chicago Fire have recently been on a signing spree just before the MLS season begins. After recently acquiring Philadelphia Union's CJ Sapong, the fire didn't stop there. A couple of days after the signing of Sapong, the fire sign Argentine Nico Gaitan. The 31 year old who played for La Liga giants Atlectico Madrid and made a total of 29 appearances and 3 goals. He left Madrid in 2018, joining Chinese side Dalian Yifang, there he made 28 appearances and scored 2 goals, but according to multiple sources including One Football he has officially joined the Men in Red. After a terrible season in 2018, fire fans were looking for an answer to all of these problems within the club. Gaitan is bringing that European experience to Chicago and this is exactly what the fire need. With upcoming stars like Djordje Mihailovic, these players could really help him become a future star. Other players including Mo Adams and Raheem Edwards could also really benefit from these European stars. Although the back line may be lacking for the fire, they definitely shouldn't be overlooked in the upcoming season.

As another disappointing season comes to a close, the fans and players are full of disappointment. The fans in particular have lost all hope, and with the retirement of Alan Gordon, Brandon Vincent, and Christian Dean, their chances of becoming a successful franchise had seemed to have ceased.
The Fire didn't want their fans to lose hope just yet. In December of 2018, the fire acquired forward Fabian Herbers from the Philadelphia Union, although no one seemed to give much attention to this news, the Fire didn't stop there. That same month, they signed Sporting Portugal's Marcelo Ferreira.
This helped the fans keep their heads high, but the next day fan favorite Jonathan Campbell had left the fire for the Seattle Sounders. Not long after, dutch forward Micheal De Leeuw had also left the fire for the Netherlands. Two fan favorites were now gone, and the fans had again lost their hope.
Later, the fire had announced that they have re-signed head coach Veljko Paunovic. Pauno is now entering his fourth season with the Fire. He led Chicago into the playoffs in 2017, but fell 4-0 to Bradley Wright Phillip's New York Red Bulls in the Knockout Round.
The MLS Super Draft had approached and the Fire had acquired Ebenzer Ackon, Grant Stoneman, Mark Forrest, and Amando Moreno. The Fire continued to add to their roster, as they signed Przemyslaw Frankowski, Jeremiah Gutjahr, Cristian Martinez, and Andre Reynolds II. All the pieces were coming together, but one important piece seemed to be missing. Recently the Fire acquired MLS veteran goalkeeper David Ousted, a huge signing that brings fire fans a sign that this could be the season the men in red prove that the Chicago Fire will no longer be seen as one of the worst in the league. Can the Fire bring the Cup to the Windy City?!
Andrew Gutman has been tipped to join Celtic ever since he had a trial with their biggest rivals Rangers. According to recent reports the deal has fallen through. Gutman seemed destined to sign with Celtic after Nelson Rodriquez said "He was offered a contract and chose not to accept it. He decided to go with the offer from Celtic so good luck to him." Gutman reportedly accepted the deal, but something must have happened for him or Celtic to pull out. If he doesn't sign with Celtic I think the Fire should try to and offer him another contract. He plays in a position of massive need for the Fire and has a great potential. Where do you guys see Andrew Gutman going.
In the 2017 playoffs vs the New York New Bulls Djordje Mihailovic suffered a torn ACL. This injury kept him out for most of the 2018 season. Even with him only playing in 9 games he still impressed massively scoring 1 beautiful goal and racking up 4 assists. His performances got him a call up to the USMNT January camp. Were he is said to have very much impressed the coaches. This earned him his first cap for the USA versus Panama and in this game you scored his first international goal. I'm looking forward to see what you can do for the Fire this season.
