Official: DC United have officially signed former Atlanta United defender/midfielder Chris McCann off waivers. The 31-year-old Irish defender/midfielder will be joining DC United this upcoming season after winning the MLS Cup with Atlanta United during the 2018 season. McCann has previously played with Burnley, Wigan Athletic, Coventry City, and most recently Atlanta United.
Breaking: According to an inside source, DC United will be signing Quincy Amarikwa to join the team as the second striker alongside Wayne Rooney. Quincy Amarikwa is also a proud partner of MLSFanbase. Quincy is currently a free agent who previously played for Montreal Impact. The 31-year-old American forward has previously played for SJ Earthquakes, Colorado Rapids, Toronto FC, Chicago Fire, and Montreal impact. He has also won the MLS cup with the Colorado Rapids.
Official: According to a reliable source, Boca Juniors defender Leonardo Jara will be officially joining DC United for the upcoming 2019 season. The 27-year-old right-back will be joining DC United on loan but with an option to buy next winter. So I can confirm that Jara will be joining DC United and an officially announcement should be announced this week.
Report: According to multiple reports, DC United, Colorado Rapids, and LAFC have all been chasing American-Danish player Ryan Laursen. Ryan Laursen was born in Los Angeles, California. He played in Denmark all his career and even represented the Danish youth teams. The curren 26-year-old full back currently plays for Odense Boldklub in the first division of Denmark. Currently DC United according to the reports is leading the race and will start negotiating with the player fairly soon.
Report: According to multiple reports coming out of Argentina. DC United are currently targeting Estiadiantes 21-year-old Lucas Rodriguez. DC United might not be able to agree on a contract with Yamil Asad who’s current loan with DC United will end soon. So if Yamil Asad doesn’t take the amount they’re offering him, DC United will acquire Lucas Rodriguez, and Luciano Acosta will most likely become a designated player.
Official: Orlando City SC has acquired a natural second round pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft from D.C. United in exchange for the rights to goalkeeper Earl Edwards, Jr. Edwards’ contract was set to expire following the conclusion of the 2018 MLS season, however, the Club retains his rights through the end of the calendar year.
Official: D.C. United defender Nick DeLeon, was selected by Toronto FC early today. DeLeon started his career as a midfielder but has shifted to right back in recent years under Ben Olsen. He made a total of 180 appearances with D.C. since being selected No. 7 overall in 2012 SuperDraft and was a finalist for Rookie of the Year.
FC Cincinnati officially signs Darren Mattocks from DC United during the 2018 Expansion Draft. He will be available for the upcoming 2019 season!
