Montréal Impact receive an International Roster Spot from Columbus in exchange for $175,000 in General Allocated Money.
With the development of MLS as a whole, the Impact is also developing quickly and many young players are making the main squad. Some like Ballou Tabla have also earned moves European clubs like FC Barcelona. Here are my top “players for the future” that are 21 years old or younger.

Montréal Impact have loaned out goalkeeper Jason Beaulieu and defender Thomas Meilleur-Giguère to affiliate club Ottawa Fury. Thomas Meilleur-Giguère spend last season out on loan at Ottawa and had a great season.
The whole Montréal Impact first team will be present at the preseason camp in Florida but there are a few unfamiliar names on the list. The Impact have invited young Canadian right back pair Zachary Brault-Guillard (Olympique Lyon) and Émile Legault (Auxerre) to camp. Another name on the list is midfielder Chris Wehan, who had his option declined by San Jose. Also, Impact U19 goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois and winger Mikale Fontaine will get a taste of pro soccer.
The Montréal Impact pick midfielder Amar Sejdic from Maryland in the 34th overall pick. The 22-year-old made 2 appearances for Dutch club Vitesse U19. The Maryland captain scored 22 goals in 82 games as they won the NCAA title in 2018.
Rumor: According to reports coming out of Quebec, Yaya Sanogo has been a target for Montreal Impact for a while now. Sanogo has previously played for Auxerre, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Ajax, Charleton Athletic, and most recently Toulouse. The 25-year-old striker would most likely have to fight for a starting spot with Montreal’s new striker Urruti.
Matteo Mancosu has officially signed for Serie C club Virtus Entella. The Italian made 61 appearances for the Impact in MLS. Virtus Entella are currently 6th place as they look for possible promotion to Serie B.
Alejandro Silva has officially been sold to Olimpia unless he fails his medical. The amount is $4 million in Canadian dollars ($3 mil USD) , which is $1 million more than they bought him for. Alejandro Silva made 31 appearances in MLS last season.
